Federal immigration agents in Texas arrested more than 100 people during a summer-long operation around a lake community in the Dallas area, officials announced on Friday.
At least two of the 121 individuals who were arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) belonged to the Tren de Aragua gang, which was designated by the State Department as a foreign terrorist organization and global terrorist group last year, ICE said in a news release.
The people arrested by ICE had criminal records or histories including assault, family violence, assault causing bodily injury, theft, burglary, sexual assault of a child, indecency with a child by sexual contact, evading arrest or detention with a vehicle, driving while intoxicated, boating while intoxicated, criminal mischief, criminal negligence, and traffic-related offenses, it said….
