10.2 Million Grill Brushes Recalled Due to Ingestion Hazard

California-based Nexgrill Industries Inc. is recalling more than 10.2 million units of metal wire bristle grill brushes sold across the United States due to ingestion risks posed by these items, the Consumer Protection Safety Commission (CPSC) said in a March 26 statement.
“Small metal wire bristles can detach from the brushes and stick to the grill or food, posing an ingestion hazard and risk of serious internal injuries that could require surgery,” CPSC said.
“Nexgrill is aware of at least 68 reports and reviews where small wire bristles detached from the grill brushes, including five reports of consumers who swallowed metal bristles and sought medical treatment to remove the bristles from their digestive tract or throat.”…
