Demuth Will Face Klobuchar in Minnesota’s Race for Governor

Minnesota House Speaker Lisa Demuth won the state’s Republican primary for governor on Tuesday, defeating My Pillow founder Mike Lindell, endorsed by President Donald Trump, and GOP-endorsed candidate Kendall Qualls.
Demuth advances to the Nov. 3 general election, where he will face Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.), who overwhelmingly won the Democratic nomination earlier in the evening.
Incumbent Gov. Tim Walz announced earlier this year that he would not seek a third term.
Republicans have not won a Minnesota gubernatorial election since Tim Pawlenty was reelected in 2006.
Jane Smith of Rochester, who identified herself as a fan of Trump, told The Epoch Times on primary day that she erred from the president’s endorsement and voted for Demuth….
